Introduction

In 2018, one year into the Companies Act 2016 (CA2016), constitution remains an important document of a company in complementing the CA2016 in regulating companies with constitution, their existing or future members and directors. It is essential to have a good understanding of the law and practice relating to constitution to ensure that the provisions in the Constitution do not contravene nor are inconsistent with the CA 2016.

Learning Outcome

Participants will have a better understanding of the law and practice on Constitution under the CA 2016 and in amending or adopting a Constitution, will be able to confidently identify the essential and critical areas to advise the Board of Directors, clients and management of companies accordingly.
